There are several types of mitumba bales available for traders specialized in clothes for kids. These are the categories you will find at all the stores in Gikomba and other markets in Nairobi, Mombasa, Nakuru and other major towns in Kenya.

Baby Light Bale (0-3 yrs): This contains light clothes for children below three years, with approximately 600 pieces, or 300 pieces for half  a bale. The average price for Grade 1 is Ksh 35,000 to Ksh 40,000.

Children Light Bale (0-12 yrs): Packaged for traders who are targeting both infants and school-age children below teen age. A full bale will have approximately 300 pieces, and sells at between Ksh 25,000 and Ksh 30,000.

Baby Light Bale (0-5 yrs): Meant for mitumba business persons whose market consists of newly born children and growing children below 5 years. A full bale will have about 400 pieces at a price of between Ksh 30,000 and Ksh 35,000.

Children Medium (Mix) – Inside this bale you will get a mixture of warm and light children clothes for below 12 years, with approximately 250 pieces at a price of between Ksh 16,000 and Ksh 18,000.

Baby Medium (Mix) – Here you get approximately 350 pieces for babies below 5 years. A mixture of both light and warm clothes, at approximately Ksh 20,000.

Children Heavy (Winter) – For between Ksh 10,000 and Ksh 12,000, you get approximately 100 pieces of heavy clothes for children below 12 years.

Children Heavy Jackets – This bale specifically packaged with jackets for children under 12 years. It costs between Ksh 12,000 and Ksh 14,000, and a full bale contains approximately 70 pieces.

Children Sweaters – This bale goes for between Ksh 10,000 and Ksh 12,000, with approximately 180 pieces of sweaters for children below 12 years of age.

Girls Dresses – If your target market consists of girls under 10 years, you can get a full bale at between Ksh 25,000 and Ksh 27,000 with approximately 300 pieces of dresses.

Kids Stockings – You will get more than 500 high quality stockings inside this Grade 1 bale, selling at prices between Ksh 20,000 and Ksh 24,000.

Boys Pants – Mitumba traders whose target market consists of boys between 5 to 15 years can get this bale with Khaki and Jeans at prices between Ksh 17,500 and Ksh 19,000. A full bale contains approximately 150 pieces.

Baby Rompers – This bale contains rompers for babies between 0 to 3 years, and sells at between Ksh 20,000 and Ksh 25,000.

Mitumba Bales for Kids – Shoes

Crème Canvas – Inside this bale you get approximately 70 Pairs of new canvas shoes for children below 12 years at a price ranging between Ksh 20,000 and Ksh 22,000.

Kids Unisex Crème Rubbers – For about Ksh 22,000, you get a bale with approximately 65 pairs of new rubber shoes for both girls and boys aged below 12 years.

Grade 1 Unisex Mixed Shoes – This bale contains slightly used shoes for boys and girls. The shoes are of several types, and a full bale sells at between Ksh 12,000 and Ksh 15,000 with approximately 50 pairs.
